Historical Information about our house
On July the 1st of 1937, Therese STIX, wife of German state railway employee Simon STIX, acquired the 7 are (700 m²) large landed property with the house still standing on foundation walls for 2400 German Reichsmark.
The upper floor of the house, which was connected with one of the first phone lines in our area, was leased for longer periods in the beginning, but rebuilt as bed and breakfast place with toilet and shower on the floor in the middle of the fifties. Therese STIX cared about the physical well-being of her guests whereas her husband Simon demonstrated slideshows with self-made imagery of flora and fauna from our region.
From the fifties up to her death at the end of the eighties Therese STIX rented three 2-bed-rooms and one 3-bed-room inclusive breakfast for the whole year to her guests from the former (terminated in 1990) Federal Republic of Germany.
